My name is Paige Flamm, founder of Advocating Moms. In 2014 my husband and I found out that we were going to be giving birth to a little girl who wasn't expected to live past birth. Her diagnosis was Semilobar Holoprosencephaly. She quickly survived the odds stacked against her, and she is now a thriving six-year-old little girl.

While we never would have imagined the obstacles she'd over come, we quickly found ourselves thrown into the world of raising a child with a disability. We found ourselves advocating for her needs at school, at the doctors, with insurance, and the never ending medical bills.

Through our journey we have learned so much information that has helped make our lives more accessible, enjoyable, and dare I say, hopeful.

In 2019 I was finishing my undergraduate degree in Public Health Promotion and Education. As my college internship I put on a parenting conference called Advocating Moms: A Special Needs Parenting Conference. Through that I was able to see a large need to get resources into the hands of parents, and I hope that even if we never meet in person, that the resources shared here will help your family to thrive as well.
